Work
Our studio is defined by the quality of work we produce. Architecture can be seen and felt in different ways. We aim to build space that is experienced as an implicit feeling of comfort and belonging. These intentions apply through the range of programs and scales we work with. Good design is understood through the senses, reaching beyond the visual and the logical. And so, the quality of our work is measured by how our buildings are experienced. At ARA we strive to do good by our clients and the people that use our buildings.
Profile
We see architecture as an art and as a technical endeavor, very much dependent on an understanding of place and culture. As an architecture firm working in a small town we do not specialize in a particular type of project, and we are not limited by scope or scale. At ARA, our studio structure is nimble enough to adjust to project requirements as needed, and solid enough to handle large scale work and long term commitments.

Teatro La Perla: Bid Process
February 2022: The Teatro La Perla Post-Disaster Rehabilitation project is the first of the FEMA-funded, Ponce Municipality “Key Projects” to reach the Bidding Phase.
AIA Honor Awards
December 2019: Our project Casa Abierta was recognized with an Honorable Mention Award for Excellence in Architecture at the 2019 AIA Puerto Rico Honor Awards.
